 About La Pirogue

La Pirogue’s 248 rooms and suites are housed in thatched roof bungalows inspired by the traditional Mauritian fishing boats from which the resort takes its name. All rooms are air conditioned and equipped with a private furnished terrace, a bath and rain shower, flat screen TV, mini bar and complimentary WiFi. Beach Pavilions are just a few feet from the beach, or upgrade to a spacious Senior Suite Pavilion with private beach gazebo and butler service.

The quirky thatched bungalows of La Pirogue sit amongst lush tropical gardens, on a beautiful one kilometre stretch of white-sand beach, in one of the best west coast locations on the island. A blend of modern comfort and Mauritian tradition, the resort offers great dining options, a wealth of activities and lively entertainment, with plenty to distract both kids and adults alike.
